I stopped by my local B&M and was pointed towards a new addition to the humidor. This is my first Crowned Heads cigar. The wrapper is gorgeous, a light creamy medium brown leaf with visible lines. Initial smell is a sweet tobacco which is very fresh. The cold draw is also sweet with a touch of spice. The band is simple and straight forward, black with gold border and white lettering, classy. I cut and light it up.

First puffs– Right away I get a nice burnt wood and light spice mixed in. The draw is good and so is the smoke production.
First third– The spice has picked up a bit, with the wood flavors mellowing. There is a baseline sweet taste that kind of swoops in at the end of each puff. It’s really a nice smooth start.
Second third– The sweet tastes of tobacco and and subtle spice intertwine. This is friggin fantastic. Honestly, the way the flavors are so complex and yet play off each other is amazing. Still smooth and creamy. Draw is perfect.

Final third– I really don’t want this to end, it is so tasty. The spices have picked up and sit on the tip of the tongue with the wood flavors coming back. There is also a nut flavor entering now.

There aren’t many cigars that are better in this price range, I can assure you. This is an absolute must smoke and has been launched into the top picks of 2013. Absolutely fantastic flavors with amazing complexity. Find yourself some of these, stock up, and smoke them with pure enjoyment. Thank me later.
