Camacho Ditka Signature

Ditka Signature

Camacho announced this latest edition of the Mike Ditka line earlier this year at IPCPR. This is the forth release for Camacho and their partnership with the former Bears head coach. There are five sizes of this blend and each come in 20 count boxes. Speaking of boxes, the color scheme on the Signature box reminds me more of the Dallas Cowboys than the Chicago Bears. The band on this cigar follows the same color palette as the box with Ditka written in dark blue with a grey background. Camamcho is written in Silver lettering with a dark blue background.

Warped Cigars Flor Del Valle

Author:

Warped Cigars has been by far my vote for standout brand of the year. I had the La Colmena earlier this year at IPCPR and was blown away with the quality. Kyle Gellis has an attention to detail that is second to none. He uses a category 9 roller that only produces perfect cigars, only the best make it through. It is this passion and design that has put Warped at the top of this years list. Flor Del Valle is a revived old Cuban brand produced with 100% Aganorsa tobacco down in Esteli, Nicaragua by Casa Fernandez. Utilizing true Cuban producton techniques such as entubado bunching and the classic Cuban triple cap. A soft sweet floral scent escapes the wrapper. It is a medium brown wrapper with visible lines and a bit toothy. The band is really next level in the design category. This is probably the best I’ve ever seen. Classic looks with a touch of new school design. The cold draw has a sweet spiciness to it.

Nomad S-307

Author:

Fred Rewey (@godfadr) is what I would consider to be a silent but deadly individual. I met him at this years IPCPR and he is a man of few words, but when he speaks, its awesome. This is the same with his cigars. They are simple and straight forward to the eye. But underneath they are complex and awesome blends. The S-307 is a cigar that does not disappoint. Teaming up with Tabacalera Fernandez to produce this cigar, which is the third overall blend and second done in Nicaragua. Rewey has really pushed his game to the next level and has become a star in the cigar industry and social media. The wrapper has a soft pepper scent with a floral hint that escapes. A Carmel brown wrapper with visible veins coats the the cigar. A great looking box press that has a classic Nomad band on it with his twitter handle @godfadr on it.

Moya Ruiz Cigars La Jugada Habano

Author:

Danny Moya and Nelson Ruiz second production cigar the La Jugada Habano does not disappoint. It features some of Nicaragua’s finest blends and is masterfully rolled. “La Jugada” means to move or play which stems from Moya and Ruiz’s love of Dominoes and Poker. The cigar has been produced in Espinosa’s La Zona factory  in Esteli, Nicaragua. The wrapper is a medium brown with a silky texture to it. I get a fantastic musty scent from the cigar. The band is awesome, classic good looks with its Gold foil and green. Raised letters and features add a nice touch. The typography gives an authentic old time western feel.
