Wrapper: Cubra, Habano
Binder: Ecuadorian, Habano
Filler: Nicaraguan, Brazilian and Dominican
Size: Robusto 5.0 x 52
To commemorate Gurkha’s 125th Anniversary, they released this cigar in the summer of 2012. It took me a while but I found this beauty in a Total Wine & More, which by the way has a very nice cigar selection, although prices are a bit higher. I couldn’t wait to get back to light this cigar. If you ever need a cigar to put on the wall and look at, this cigar may be it. The band on this cigar is bar none the flashiest son of a bitch I have ever seen. No expense spared on this band in true Gurkha fashion. The smell of this cigar is sweet with a classic tobacco profile and has the look of a smooth and soft leather sofa.
Brand: La Aurora
Filler: Dominican and Nicaraguan
Size: Robusto 4.5 x 50
The robusto size is smaller than most other robustos, but it feels just right. The smell of the cigar is sweet and welcomes me to light it. The wrapper is a beautiful mix of light and dark with few small veins, just looks so nice. The band on this cigar is great, its simple but still manages to stand out with its bright gold border.
The East India Trading Company is proud to announce the upcoming cigar launch of ‘Rogue’. This much-anticipated brand will hit cigar stores nationwide this summer and be distributed by the Gurkha Cigar Group, Inc.
The mischievous Rogue is the third cigar release under the East India Trading Company and also the name of the top secret, ‘pre-release’ cigar that the company has been featuring at in-store events during the first quarter of 2013, which has received rave reviews from cigar enthusiasts.
Brand: La Aurora
Wrapper: Dominican Corojo

The La Aurora 100 Anos (100 years) pays tribute to La Aurora’s time in the business. In 2004, it was rated the 3rd best cigar for that year by Cigar Aficionado Magazine.
Picked up this little gem today, the La Aurora 100 Anos. I had heard of this cigar from friends but had been unable to find it for a long time. My local cigar shop just got a new shipment and I had to have it. At first glance this is a beautiful cigar. The oily Dominican wrapper has a sweet smell and looks amazing. The band on this cigar is a fantastic show stopper. You can tell right away that this cigar had a lot of time put into its design. It has raised graphics and really sets this cigar up nicely.
Brand: Drew Estates
Wrapper: Ecuadorian Habano
Size: Robusto 5.5 x 52
I was looking through my local cigar shop for a cigar to smoke while I golfed this weekend. To much praise I was pointed to this fine cigar. The initial view of this cigar is nice, a tad oily with a creamy look to it. The band has an old Broadway sign in lights feel to it. Written on the band you have “Imported From Nicaragua”. On the side is written “warrantee the tobaccos used in Herrera Esteli are the finest vintage aged air cured black cigar leaf.” On the other side is written “Handmade by La Gran Fabrica Drew Estate S.A. Frente A Las Aldeas Sos Barrio Oscar Gamez.” A lot of thought was put into this band to assure the smoker that they have taken the time to get this cigar right.
