Nomad S-307

Author:

Fred Rewey (@godfadr) is what I would consider to be a silent but deadly individual. I met him at this years IPCPR and he is a man of few words, but when he speaks, its awesome. This is the same with his cigars. They are simple and straight forward to the eye. But underneath they are complex and awesome blends. The S-307 is a cigar that does not disappoint. Teaming up with Tabacalera Fernandez to produce this cigar, which is the third overall blend and second done in Nicaragua. Rewey has really pushed his game to the next level and has become a star in the cigar industry and social media. The wrapper has a soft pepper scent with a floral hint that escapes. A Carmel brown wrapper with visible veins coats the the cigar. A great looking box press that has a classic Nomad band on it with his twitter handle @godfadr on it.

First puffs– A fantastic white pepper coats the palate accompanied by hints of floral and oak. The draw is amazingly smooth.
First third– Hints of cherry and floral mix perfectly, giving a complex combination that is creamy smooth. Oak and some nuttiness are also there underneath. Draw is fantastic and the burn lines near perfection.

Second third– Spices and nuttiness are dominating this next section. Small floral notes weave in and out and a small break from each hit of pepper. Still smooth and burning nicely.
Final third– A small dose of hay creeps in along with earthy undertones. Still containing a floral note along with a nuttiness. The draw and smokability is still going strong.

Overall a cigar that could be a staple of any humidor out there. A great smoke that fits newer and seasoned smokers alike. I would highly suggest hunting for these and buy at least a 5-pack if not more to stock up.
