I was recommended this cigar by a friend of mine and finally found one at Big Sticks cigar shop in AZ. The wrapper is a light leathery brown with some visible leaf veins. This is easily the best smelling cigar. It has a beautifully rich sweet smell, that is very refreshing. I do enjoy the band on the cigar, nice red and white design with gold lettering and a gold lion. The cold draw is sweet with a touch of spice.

First puffs– I get a rich leather taste mixed with heavy spices, kind of pepper tasting. The draw is on the tighter side and smoke is minimal.
First third– Pepper flavors have settled down and and now cedar and a little bit of sweetness enters. The draw and smoke production have improved considerably. It has become very smooth as well.

Second third– The construction of the cigar to this point is top notch. The ash is still intact. Flavors haven’t shifted at all. Draw and smoke production are consistent.
Final third– A hint of cinnamon is now in the cigar, adds a little kick to the final thirds transition. Still has a cedar taste as well. Still smoking very well.

Overall this cigar was solid with its flavors, they did not shift much however. The construction was fantastic though. I did enjoy the cigar and would buy again. It is worth a try, but not the best in the La Aurora family of cigars. I was left feeling a bit underwhelmed by the smoke in general.
