The robusto size is smaller than most other robustos, but it feels just right. The smell of the cigar is sweet and welcomes me to light it. The wrapper is a beautiful mix of light and dark with few small veins, just looks so nice. The band on this cigar is great, its simple but still manages to stand out with its bright gold border.

First Puffs– The start was a tad harsh with a ton of draw, very loose. Flavors consisted of a woodsy pepper taste with a hint of cocoa. After the initial draws the cigar has mellowed out and taken form. I have paired this with a Leinenkugel’s Summer Shandy. This pairing kicks ass because it adds a citrus kick.

First Third– The pepper flavor has become more prominent and it’s drawing like a champ. There are now slight hints of a cayenne type spice mixed with a lingering woodsy taste.

Second Third– The cigar has mellowed out and the wood taste is less prominent now. Spices are still present and take control.
Final Third– The finish is very pleasant. I am getting a bit of chocolate sweetness with the spice flavors now. A really enjoyable smoke, with nice flavor choices. The cigar remains true to what I experienced with other La Aurora cigars which is consistency.

Overall a very nice smoke. I could easily see this being a staple of my normal smokes. A very nice tribute to the companies 107 years in the cigar making business. Find out more about La Aurora and follow them @LaAuroraCigars
