I visited my local cigar shop Big Sticks Cigars in Mesa, AZ and found the Gurkha Rogue. Wrapper is a creamy chocolate brown with raw veins and wrapper lines, very nice. Gurkha killed it on the band for this cigar. The large dual white band with black edgy font and gold metallic skull, makes me feel like I need to smoke this on a pirate ship. The initial smell is a very alluring sweetness that has traces of apricots. The cold draw had a faint pepper taste that lingers. A nice feature is the unfinished foot which completes the theme of this cigar making it raw and uncut.

First puffs– A large amount of spice flows through from the start. Accompanied by a deep cedar taste. The smoke is flowing nicely and draws fantastic.

First third– The spices have fallen back and am now left with a mellow pepper and a faint sweetness like a raisin. There are earthy undertones that bring a thickness the cigar.
Second third– Rich earthy cedar is prominent with that pepper weaving in and out. Smoking like a champ still with a clean draw.

Final third– There is a bit of toasted almond that enters faintly and the cigar is getting a bit creamier and remains smooth. The construction has been superb throughout the stick and has been smoking great the whole time.

Overall a good cigar that smokes very well and is easily enjoyed. The mixture of spice and earthiness is just right and holds true to Gurkha’s quality and craftsmanship. I would definitly smoke again and probably will, but it wont become a go to cigar. However I would say give it a try if your into a more full and spice driven cigar.
