Crowned Heads Jericho Hill

Author:

This marks the first full regular production cigar produced from the My Father factories for The Crowned Heads. A partnership that is producing fantastic results. The Jericho Hill is molded from the concept of Johnny Cash. Wrapper, design, and names all derive from his song “The Man in Black” which mention Juarez Mexico where Willy Lee is brought to justice. As a nod to the legend himself, this cigar is born out of respect and honor. The deep Chocolate brown toothy San Andres wrapper matches the songs title. With a cocoa and citrus scent it just pulls you right in. The band is amazingly sharp looking on this cigar. Creamy gold borders with a black background and a crest in the middle. The cold draw has soft pepper note to it.

First puffs– A deep earth and white pepper mixture gets things started. A slight hint of cocoa creeps in. There are also nice sweet shots of honey that are subtle but give a great base taste to this cigar. The smoke buttery and creamy, producing an awesome draw.

Crowned Heads Jericho Hill Smoked

First third– Butter. This cigar is creamy and smooth to the core. Lite honey and cocoa mix perfectly. A soft pepper still lingers giving a nice little kick. Still drawing and smoking perfectly.
Second third– Cocoa and sweet honey dominate this part. Some earthy notes creep through and hit the back of the palate. Silky smooth and creamy now.
Final third– The pepper comes back with a big finishing hit. Surrounded by earth and cocoa notes. A fantastic finish. Smooth and smoking beautifully. Still drawing great.

Crowned Heads Jericho Hill Final

Overall an amazingly tasty cigar that to me rivals if not beats the Headley Grange, which is a hard feat to do. Do not let the dark wrapper fool you. Underneath is a cigar that suites all smokers out there. It has a little bit of everything that an aficionado would want. I highly suggest getting a couple of bundles if not a box of these cigars, you will not regret it.
